To the editor: When you go to the doctor's office for a scheduled appointment you assume that your concerns will be noted and any solutions or changes will be documented and furthered on to the necessary parties.

To the editor: This is in response to the many comments about what you can and cannot buy on our assistance program. Patricia, I agree with you that you should be able to purchase toilet paper and cough meds, but your statement about chips and soda pop is dead wrong. Those items are a luxury and just because you’re poor doesn’t give you or anyone else the right to use government money to buy them. I have worked in grocery for 40 years and never have qualified for assistance.
