Redside netters secure sixth-place state honors

Over the past four years, South Wasco County head coach Donna Barton played an integral part in getting the volleyball program playing at a high enough level to compete with the rest of 1A classification. After a 25-win campaign, the program’s first Big Sky Conference District title and a No. 8 ranking, Barton can walk away feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Elks Lodge honors students of the month Rawson, Kerr

Claire Rawson and Brendan Kerr have been selected as December’s Students of the Month by the Hood River Elks Lodge. Each was presented a check for $100 at a recent Lodge meeting. They are both seniors at Hood River Valley High School.
