Traffic stop nets $2.3M in drugs

The Oregon State Po lice announced Monday that 25 pounds of cocaine and 44 pounds of methamphetamine had been seized during a Feb. 23 traffic stop on Highway 97 south of Biggs. According to OSP, the estimated street value of the controlled substances is estimated at over $2.3 million.

REDMOND (AP) — Redmond High School has 29 valedictorians in the class graduating Friday. That’s 29 seniors with a grade point average of 4 or better. KTVZ reports the class had a 4-point system for three years, and this year the school district went to a 5-point system. Assistant Principal Tony Pupo says the district is trying to be fair to all the students who expected to be valedictorian. Next year there will be a single valedictorian at Redmond High School.
