This past weekend three athletes from HRV competed in the XC Nike BorderClash event held at the Nike World Campus in Beaverton.

After a great state run for the HRV cross country teams two weekends ago, the varsity squad capped off their season at the Nike Cross National (NXR) event in Boise, Idaho.

There’s a lot of new faces on the track for HRV this year, but those uncertainties have ebbed as the Eagles have grown over the season and are peaking just in time for the district meet this week, where the Columbia River Conference title will be decided.

Saturday’s Nike Portland XC meet provided the first major test for the HRV cross country team and Head Coach Brandon Bertram liked what he saw, with only a few reservations.
