The Dalles boys’ tennis team endured a close 5-3 loss Friday in Redmond against Ridgeview, as Quinn Wilson, Pedro Lopez and Andy Lopez turned in singles wins.
The Riverhawks picked up three singles wins from Quinn Wilson, James Pashek and Andy Lopez, but wound up on the wrong side of three third-set match-break setbacks, two in doubles play, in a 5-3 loss to Hermiston Wednesday at The Dalles High School.
The singles duo of Pedro and Andy Lopez opened eyes with impressive straight-sets wins, and the No. 4 doubles team of Edgar Contreras and Manuel Orquiz broke through for a win in The Dalles’ 5-3 loss to highly-touted Wilsonville Thursday afternoon in a varsity tennis match played at Wilsonville High School.
Top tennis players James Pashek and Andy Lopez came through for singles wins, but The Dalles High School came out the wrong end of a 6-2 loss to Sandy in varsity boys’ tennis action Tuesday at The Dalles High School.
Alex Lopez and Omar Rodriguez won their No. 1 doubles match, Pedro Lopez came out on top at No. 4 singles, and the rest of The Dalles boys’ tennis team showed some fight in Tuesday’s 6-2 loss to Madras.
