Free news: Students at The Dalles Middle School (TDMS) have been learning about the history and culture of the local tribes that call the Columbia River Gorge home. Their lessons were amplified recently by a visit from a tribal member to their classrooms.

THE GORGE — Oregon Cultural Trust awards record $3.85 million to 148 Oregon cultural organizations including: $16,858 to Tananawit, Warm Springs; $25,899 to The Museum at Warm Springs, Warm Springs; and $19,644 to The National Neon Sign Museum, The Dalles.
