The boys and girls of the Horizon Hawks soccer team secured a spot in the 1A Special District 7 league championship game on Saturday, Oct. 27 after defeating Damascus Christian in the league semifinal matchup on Monday, Oct. 22.

The Horizon Hawks soccer team had won two games in a row before their matchup with Southwest Christian, currently ranked 10th in 3A/2A/1A standings, on Wednesday.

Down by three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Horizon Hawks baseball team had a last-ditch rally that put Stanfield/Echo unexpectedly on their heels Tuesday evening at Collins Field.
