After winning eight straight to improve its record to 10-1, perhaps the sky is the limit this eason for the high-flying Hood River Valley High Eagles softball team. HRV, ranked seventh in the OSAA Class 5A level, showed it’s deserving of high recognition after sweeping a doubleheader 11-1 and 8-5 over the Bend Lava Bears (3-6) Saturday.

Kayla Byers struck out 12 and the Eagles allowed only one hit in the Hood River Valley High School varsity girls softball team’s 10-1 thumping of Summit last Thursday.
