The 2020 Google Wind Challenge returns to The Dalles March 14, and team registration is now open.

Middle and high school students come from throughout the Gorge to participate, are invited to create teams and sign up for the seventh annual event.

Students from around the Gorge participated in the 6th annual Google Wind Challenge Saturday, March 16 at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center in The Dalles. This year, more than 160 students representing 35 high school and middle school teams competed to build the competition’s top wind turbines.

Students from around the Gorge took part in the fifth annual Google Wind Challenge on Saturday, March 17 at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center in The Dalles. This year, more than 190 students from 16 local high schools and middle schools competed to build the competition’s top turbines.

Students from around the Gorge took part in the 5th annual Google Wind Challenge on Saturday, March 17 at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center in The Dalles. This year, more than 190 students from 16 local high schools and middle schools competed to build the competition’s top turbines. First place in high school and middle school categories went to Pacific Crest Innovation Academy and STEMINIST2, Henkle Middle School.
