Hood River Valley High School Steelhead robotics team 8176 is advancing to the First Tech Challenge (FTC) World Championships in Houston in April.

Winners of last week’s First Tech Challenge (FTC) qualifier tournament were Hood River Valley High School teams Glasses Half Full and Duct Tape.

Last weekend, six Hood River Valley High School FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics teams competed in Super Qualifiers in Portland.

Twenty-three teams of students in grades 7-12 from schools around the Gorge participated in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) Qualifying Tournament at The Dalles Middle School last Saturday, Jan. 31.
