Firefighters with the Dallesport Fire Department burn grass and debris at the old ferry landing across the Columbia River from Union Street. The burn provided training opportunities, and removed debris at the site, which is popular as a private firework launch place on the Fourth of July.

A WIDE, BLUE load delayed traffic on Interstate 84 through The Dalles Tuesday morning as a very slow delivery was under way to rural Roosevelt Lake. It was the main hull of the replacement Keller Ferry.
