(The Center Square) – Last month, prior to Kristi Noem being removed as Department of Homeland Security Secretary, a series of controversial multimillion dollar border wall construction contracts were inked, including in Big Bend National Park and in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Big Bend Sector in Texas. The contracts – without any notification or input from the community – are angering Texas sheriffs, judges, ranchers and homeowners in five counties – who all oppose it.Â
