The second annual Vintage Dufur Days offers plenty of family fun this weekend, Aug. 12 and 13. People are invited to step back in time to and enjoy displays in the historic town of horse-drawn equipment, tractors, a thresher and other pieces of antique farm equipment.
GRILL CRAZY: Saturday June 8, customers will be able to recycle their old BBQ by bringing it to Sawyer’s True Value who will then give them a discount on their new grill.
New Entries DECK PARTY: Solstice Eve Party on the Deck, Thursday, June 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. Come celebrate summer at The Dalles -Wasco County Library with music, refreshments and crafts. Fun for the whole family.
READING PROGRAM: The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library and The Dalles Kiwanis sponsor the summer reading program June 17 through Aug. 20. Sign up is under way for three different age levels.
New Entries SUMMER HOURS: The Wasco County Historical Society announces the opening of the Rorick House for the summer season. The House will be open Saturdays and Sundays during June, July and August, beginning June, 1.
SUNDAY RIDES: Monthly social bike rides are planned through September. The rides are every second Sunday, June 9, July 14, Aug. 11 and Sept. 8, starting at 7 p.m. at The Dalles City Park. The rides are described as a “flat, slow, fun and easy” half-hour loop.
