Russell Peters drove in Isaac Anthony with a two-out, RBI double, Peters later scored on a passed ball, and Anthony retired the side in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Dufur Rangers a 6-5 comeback win over Sherman Tuesday in Moro.

The Dufur Rangers ended their four-game losing streak in a lopsided manner Tuesday by rapping out a 20-hit effort to dispatch Stanfield 15-3 in five innings.

Although the Dufur Rangers are 0-4 to start the season, the young team of 14 underclassmen have shown some positive glimpses of a bright future. From here on out, the goal is to develop consistency on both offense and defense.

Isaac Anthony dazzled in his first-ever varsity start on the mound. The freshman southpaw held Culver scoreless on two hits, four walks and nine strikeouts across five innings. Once he exited the game, Culver’s bats came alive and Bulldog reliever Tadd Anderson retired 12 in a row over the final four frames to help his team storm back from an early 7-0 deficit for a 10-7 comeback in extra innings Wednesday at Kramer Field in The Dalles.
