To the editor,

Cartoons in The Dallas Chronicle have reached a new low! The Oct. 5 and 6 edition shows a picture of Jesus saying, “Truly I say unto you...unless you change and become like little children...” The adjacent picture shows Jesus with eyes wide open, saying, “You’re all screwed!” with children holding signs that say, “Save Our Planet!”, “End Gun Violence Now!”, “Climate Change Is Real!”, “Stop the Killing!”

To the editor: In Karen Wilson’s column, “Trump should be “modern day president,” she lists various statements by him that are offensive. I agree that they are offensive, juvenile and unnecessary. However, she ignores the uncalled-for vile hatred of various forms thrown at him on nearly a daily basis.

To the editor: In the Oct. 10 Opinion column, “Tragedy revives gun argument,” Mark Gibson made a false statement. He wrote, “But AR stands for ‘assault rifle.’” It actually stands for Armalite, the company that produced it.
