Oregon is moving into the third stage of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, but still has a long way to go until it is over, the House Interim Committee on Health Care heard Thursday.

Koch, 58, remained jailed Friday on felony charges of strangulation and fourth-degree assault, as well as two other misdemeanor charges.
Longtime local dentist Dr. Robert Benjamin “RB” Koch, who agreed to suspend his practice in late November, was arrested Jan. 4 on charges of felony strangulation, fourth-degree felony assault and interfering with making a police report. It was his sixth arrest since 2014, according to local officials.
A study released on Feb. 28 shows that Oregon has enough dentists now and into the future to address the state’s oral health care needs, but ongoing support is needed for programs that ensure dentists are as easy to find in rural communities as they are in more populated areas.
