To the editor: There is an instinctive but incorrect assumption that the Creator of heaven and earth must communicate with human beings using the simplest manner possible to guarantee that we will love Him.
To the editor: What, according to Scripture, did the Creator create? He created Heaven and Earth and the laws therein. Everything producing according to its kind. So why the weeds, and where do they come from?
To the editor: Most people believe in Jesus. Some believe he was an influential person in history. Some believe he was a prophet, but second to another, later, wiser, voice. Some are very religious about their belief and put up Christmas lights and Nativity scenes.
To the editor: Who do you serve? Do you serve veterans? Do you serve patients? People? America? Your church? Money? Status? Service is a good thing; people who serve usually are better people.

Recently I stopped into Toys “R” Us to get a little something for Eli. Yes; I am one of those grandmothers. We found the cutest toy shaving kit, just perfect for bath time. The price was under $10. At check out, and without missing a beat, the sales clerk inquired if I would like to add an extended warranty for just $4.79. Seriously. I laughed. She winced. I apologized, but really, I couldn’t help it.
