Author Connie Nice shared recipes and the stories that go with them in a Saturday book reading at The History Museum of Hood River County.

The Hood River County History Museum is re-orienting following the loss of its executive, as is the Hood River Heritage Council — one board member stepped down citing a need to spend more time volunteering elsewhere, as well as “frustrations” with the council.

The Hood River County Museum is once again without an executive — the museum director was terminated the Friday before last.

Hugs were a mixed blessing for Connie Nice Monday at the reception in her honor.

After a tumultuous year, The History Museum of Hood River County is going through some more significant changes.

After being closed for nearly a month, The History Museum of Hood River County will officially reopen next week.
