Skyline Hospital in White Salmon served as the drop-off site for the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 28. Skyline was the Columbia Gorge regional take back site for people in Hood River and Wasco counties in addition to Klickitat and Skamania counties in Washington.

Rep. Greg Walden (R-Hood River), chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, last week secured a commitment from Energy Secretary Rick Perry to not sell off assets of the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) without Congressional authorization, Walden’s office said in a press statement.

To the editor: Since our Congressional District 2 Representative Greg Walden chairs the House Energy and Commerce Committee I periodically search the House bills he is advancing. These days I really don’t favor his allegiance to the Trump agenda and I don’t trust that which he brags about as being good for Oregon is necessarily true.
