Fire broke out Monday night at Bear Mountain Forest Products in Cascade Locks, while the plant was unoccupied for Memorial Day.

No one was hurt in a vehicle fire Thursday on Interstate 84, but the freeway was closed for a half-hour at about 2:30 p.m. five miles west of Corbett.

The most destructive wildfire of 2015 in Hood River County took out two buildings but no homes, forced evacuations, and charred trees and brush on a hillside near downtown Cascade Locks Thursday night.

Two adults and one child were displaced Saturday by a fire that destroyed their home in the 700 block of Northwest Forest Lane in Cascade Locks.
