Patzer’s argument begins with a claim most readers feel before they can name it: the foundations of human navigation predate AI and still govern it. Long before machines, people already lived inside systems of language, trust, persuasion, authority, memory, pattern recognition, and selection. Artificial intelligence did not invent those systems. It automated them — and raised the stakes of getting them right.

At the center of the book is AI Suggestibility, Patzer’s principle that AI systems do not merely retrieve information — they summarize, surface, organize, and suggest whatever appears most clear, coherent, credible, and defensible.
