Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Wynne Mae was born in Mt. Clemens, Mich., to parents Nelson and Winnifred Clark.
She married Richard Joseph Cheadle in 1949 and moved to The Dalles, Ore., in 1954.
They had six children, three which surpassed her in death. Her youngest son, Jay, in 1967, Pat in 2010, and Shirley May in 2012.
Three days after Wynne passed, she lost her son, Clay, to cancer. Her only living children are Bill and Mike. She left behind many relatives, such as her sisters and brother, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wynne enjoyed so many things in life; playing pool, listening to music, dancing, bingo and spending time with her many friends and beloved family members.
Her faith in God was unshakable. Enjoying life was what she did best. She was always positive and had a radiant smile. She made you feel good just by being around her. If you've ever met Wynne you know she had a special place in her heart for you.
She lost her battle with cancer on a Wednesday at 5 p.m., with son, Mike, and his wife, Diana, by her side.
A double memorial will be held for her and her son, Clay, at The Eagles Lodge on Oct. 27, at noon, 2006 W. 7th St. The Dalles, Ore.
Donations to help cover costs will be accepted that day.
