Vickie passed away September 16, 2013 at OHSU hospital in Portland, Oregon as a result of liver disease. Vickie was 56 years old at the time of her death. Vickie Erickson was born in Los
Angeles, California on December 14th, 1956. She moved to Oregon around 1970. Everyone that knew Vickie knew she just loved life, and loved people. She lived a roller coaster of a life always with a smile on her face and with such a great attitude. Vickie loved to waterski in her younger days although she never did learn how to swim. One of her favorite places to visit was the ocean.
Vickie’s most recent joy in life was becoming a grandmother to her first grandchild Stella and spoiling her, rarely missing one day without seeing Stella right up to the last days of her life. All anyone heard Vickie speak of was Stella. She was so proud of that baby girl. Vickie is survived by her three daughters Jennifer Erickson, Costa Mesa, CA; Jordan Showalter, Portland, OR; Kelley Erickson, The Dalles, OR and granddaughter Stella Credille. Also her three sisters Theresa Brown, South Beach, OR; Angela Hanifan, Fernley, NV and Cheryl McBride. Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Vickie’s remains will be spread by her daughters at a later date. In Vickie’s memory we will be having a celebration of life on Sunday October 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. at The Dalles Moose Lodge #2075 located at 233 East 3rd Street, The Dalles, OR. This will be a potluck, so please any food dishes are welcome and greatly appreciated.Donations can be made at Spooky’s Restaurant in The Dalles, Allens Food Market, The Dalles and at the Celebration of Life for Vickie, to help the family cover the final costs of arrangements.
