Sharon D. Ritchie passed away at her home surrounded by her family on June 21, 2017. Â Sharon was born December 24, 1941, in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was the second child of six and the only girl.
Sharon came to The Dalles in 1968 with her surviving husband, Ed. Â She worked with the school district for several years and retired from Mid-Columbia Council of Governments as an intake supervisor.
Sharon loved spending time with her family, traveling with Ed and their close friends, Alan and Nina Shaw and Tom and Loretta Garred. She loved owls and the color purple. Â She adored her grandchildren and was always there for them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddis and Arlene Lammers; brothers, Larry, Danny and Randy Lammers; and mother-in-law Helen Ritchie.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Ritchie; son Ryan Ritchie; daughter Tina Hinshaw and son-in-law Joey; daughter Heidi Leeson and son-in-law Chad; brother-in-law Eugene Ritchie; brothers Rockne Lammers and sister-in-law Katie; Mike Lammers and sister-in-law Carrie; her sister-in-laws, SueEllen and Marcy Lammers; granddaughters, Ashley Kumm, Hannah Hinshaw and Kendyl Kumm; as well as her new step-grandkids, Brandyn, Samantha, Skyler, Kaitlyn and Hunter Leeson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Providence Hospice of the Gorge for the incredibly compassionate care they provided to Sharon and the family during this difficult time.
Sharon respectfully requested that no service be held for her passing. Â In lieu of a service, the family asks that donations be made to Providence Hospice of the gorge or a charity of choice.
