Robert G. Berkovich lost his battle to cancer on May 8, 2015. He was born on June 9, 1931 to James Gavrilo Berkovich and Frances Eva Lorr, in Chicago, Ill.
Bob focuses were on family life. He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He also took great pride in restoring automobiles. His favorite being a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado. Bob was a kind, gentle person who always looked for the best in everyone and everything. He loved the land and his family always putting them before himself. After serving in the Air Force from 1952-1956, Bob worked at Payless Drugstore 36 years where most people knew him as "the very tall man".
He is survived by his wife Merideth L. Berkovich, and 6 children: Tina Telfer; Barry Berkovich; J. Daniel Berkovich; Angela Simpson; R. Ryan Berkovich; and Tiffany Wilson. He also left behind 8 grandchildren ranging from 1 to 22 yrs old and 7 great grand children.
Services will be held at the Mid Columbia Church of Christ, 206 6th Ave, Dallesport, WA 98617. May 14th 2015 at 2:30 pm, potluck to follow. Please feel free to bring a dish. There will also be a Military Service at Willamette Cemetery in Portland set at a later date.
