Mary “Peggy” Margaret Richley, age 77 passed away at home in Maupin, Ore. Peggy was born July 27, 1939 in New York to Robert H. Love and Margaret E. (Pearce) Love. She was an only child and grew up overseas. She went to nursing school and obtained her AA degree. Peggy worked as a nurse in California and Michigan before she married Roger Richley in Michigan on March 27, 1967 and they had 4 children.
She loved to travel, read, feed the animals, spending time with family and watching the Ellen DeGeneres show. Peggy was well known for being kind to others and having a sharp sense of humor. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Lisenby of Maupin, Ore,; son, Michael Richley of Portland, Ore.; son, Matthew Richley of Dubuque, Iowa; grandson, Ukiah Lisenby of Portland, Ore.; granddaughter Cierra Redmond of San Marcos, Calif.; grandson, Connor Redmond of San Marcos, Calif.; granddaughters, Talia and Safia Richley of Portland, Ore. In lieu of services, please feel free to donate in memory of Mary Richley to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., Leukemia & Lymphoma Assoc., or American Cancer Society. Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in The Dalles, Oregon were in care of the arrangements.
