Mary Lou (Miles) Morris, age 91, passed away Monday September 5, 2016. She was born September 13, 1924 in Glasgow, Ky. Her husband, Eric B. Morris passed away in 1987 after 38 years together.
She is survived by daughters Carol Anne Morris of Helena, Mont., Cathy Louise (Morris) Covert and Chuck Covert of The Dalles, Ore. and her son Eric Christopher Morris and Carol Alspach-Morris of Carrollton, Texas. She graduated from Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio and spent 40 years in hospital nursing.
Mary Lou moved to The Dalles from Harbor Hills, Ohio about six years ago to be closer to family and has made many friends where she lived at The Springs at Mill Creek as well as throughout The Dalles. While she always missed Ohio she loved the Oregon coast, the beautiful cherry blossoms in spring and family trips. She loved parties, golf, music, flowers and just having a good time. She will be greatly missed by many here and in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Springs at Mill Creek this Friday, September 9, 2016 at 2PM for her friends and family. A service will be held at a later date in Ohio.
