Lester Ray Jim

Lester Ray Jim, 64, started his final journey December 11, 2014. He was born in Redmond, Oregon to Howard & Maggie (Waters) Jim on October 27, 1950. Lester resided most of his life along the Mid Columbia River, where he has lived in Celilo Village, OR. He was an enrolled member of the Yakama Nation, band of the Wy-am. As a young man Lester attended Concho Boarding School in Oklahoma.

Lester was a cherished elder of his community, respected by all up and down the great Columbia River. Throughout his life he was an avid hunter and tribal fisherman, and will always be remembered for his lifetime commitment to his traditional way of life. His favorite things to do were not only hunting and fishing, but he also enjoyed traveling across the countryside,visiting his many friends and family across the Northwest.
