Larry Fraley, 71, passed away December 16, 2015 unexpectedly of natural causes, in Portland. He was born January 27, 1944, to Lyle and Ruth Fraley in The Dalles, OR. He graduated from The Dalles High School in 1962 and from Eastern Oregon College in 1967.
Larry moved to Portland, where he met his wife, Sharon Wells. They married on June 17, 1972 and settled in Portland’s Rose City Park Neighborhood for 27 years, raising their son, Robert.
Larry retired from TriMet as a transit operator in 2004 after 31 years of public service.
Among his interests Larry enjoyed the outdoors, camping, boating, fishing, and crabbing on the Oregon Coast. He volunteered for many years as a scout leader with Boy Scout Troop 117.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon; son, Robert (Gwen); grandchildren Leo and Agatha; sister, Lylene McCreadie (Stan), and brother-in-law Terry Wells (Carole).
A memorial service will be held in The Dalles, OR in the spring.
Remembrances may be made to Boy Scout Troop 117.
