Jon Ira Pereira was born Dec. 7, 1972, in The Dalles, Ore., and died in Richland, Wash., following a brief and unexpected catastrophic illness on Jan. 28, 2017.
John is survived by his beloved daughter Danielle Marie Pereira; his mother Carole and stepfather Allen Ingram; father Paul Pereira and stepmother Sheila; sisters Bethany Grayson (Franklin) and Danielle Lawson (Micah); stepbrothers Chris and Jed Ingram; stepsister Candace; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jon lived most of his adult life in the Portland area and most recently in Tri Cities, Wash.
Jon saw the good in everyone and everything without fail, he knew no other way to live. His daughter was the joy and purpose of his life. Jon was a dreamer, a jokester and a peacemaker. He always wore a smile and loved to laugh. Strangers were friends he had yet to meet. From the day he was born, Jon was a delight and a treasure to all who were lucky enough to have him in their life. His physical absence will leave a hole in so many lives, but the memories he leaves behind will forever be the light that shines through.
