John William Bezanson, Jr., age 61, passed away peacefully March 6, 2018, at his residence in Sonora, Calif., surrounded with love.
John was born April 22, 1956, in Rescue, Calif., to John and Thelma Bezanson.
He spent his childhood growing up in Amador County and residing in Pioneer, Calif. Most of his adult life was spent in Washington and Oregon working in the timber industry. He was an expert at operating heavy equipment and scrapping iron.
John loved family, enjoyed music, dancing, mechanical challenges and spending time on the Laughton Ranch.
John grew up the only boy in a large family with 10 sisters. James Laughton was his confidante and they shared a bond that only brothers can have.
John is survived by three sons, Robert of The Dalles, Ore. and John and Nicholas of Washington; six grandchildren; 10 sisters, Hazel (Ron) Loper, Gail King, Linda (Ron) Kenerson, Sandi (Rich) Marcantelli, Shirley Dillon (Paul Leishman), Ruth Beedie, Joan Ayres, Connie Grosse, Dorothy (John) Pierce, Charlotte (James) Beck; his brother at heart, James Laughton and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
John will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.
