Harold K. ‘Hal’ Davis, 85, a resident of The Dalles, Oregon died at home Wednesday, May 11, 2016.
“Hal’ was born May 21, 1930 in Portland, Oregon, the second of three sons to Carl and Doris (Hunt) Davis. He was raised and educated in Portland, graduating from Lincoln High School and attending Portland State University. Hal served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and the Army Reserves.
On October 19, 1968 he and Hazel Hammond were married in Reno, Nevada. He resided in The Dalles for over fifty years and worked as Power Plant Operator at The Dalles Dam. He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, fly tying, reading and spending time with his family.
Hal was a member of B.P.O.E. #313, The Dalles Yacht Club and The American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Doris Davis and brother Jack Davis.
Hal is survived by his wife Hazel and his beloved cat Foxie of The Dalles, OR; son Steven Davis of Milwaukie, OR; daughter Cindy Everman of Milwaukie, OR; step daughters Julia (Danny) Lafrenz of Rufus, OR, and Linda Brown of Dayton, WA.; brother Jim Davis of Tri Cities, WA; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren with two more on the way.
A celebration of Hal’s life will be held at a later date.
