Grover Lee Abrams, age 61, a resident of The Dalles, Ore., died Monday October 19, 2015 at his home. He was born November 15, 1953 in White Salmon, Wash., to Harry and Imogene (Rike) Abrams and raised and educated in The Dalles, Ore. On June 17, 1972 he and Karen Moore married. They had 3 children, Jeremy, Jennifer and Jade. He was employed by the State Highway Department for 40 years before recently retiring in 2012. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved telling stories and he would capture the attention of all and always be helpful to others. For many years he was involved in the scouting program at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He is survived by his mother, Imogene Abrams, his 4 children Jeremy, Jennifer (Spokane, Wash.), Jade (The Dalles, Ore.) and Ciera (Puyallup, Wash.), 3 sisters Glenda, Gloria and Gwen, 9 grandchildren, Josiah, Jared, Jarelyn, Isaac, Logan, Tiffany, Brooke, Dominic and Jacinda and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Abrams.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 30, 2015, at 1 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 15th and Oregon St., with viewing beginning at 1 p.m. Graveside services following at the I.O.O.F, 18th Street Cemetery.
