Garry Houser

Garry Houser, 74, passed on May 8, 2016. Garry and family moved to The Dalles in the mid 1960's, he worked and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita in 2001. A father of three, grandfather of six and great-grandfather of seven.

Garry was born in North Platte, Neb., and is the youngest of five children from Boyd and Claire Houser. Shortly after High School Graduation he hitched a ride with his eldest brother Lowell to Oregon. Garry took a job with Fred Meyer (Portland) where he met Rita, they married in 1960.
