Dorothy Mavis Johnson passed away at the age of 92 on March 31, 2018, at The Springs at Mill Creek in The Dalles, Ore. She was born on May 13, 1925, in Swea City, Iowa, to Oscar and Reba Linde.
She married Lewis Johnson on August 25, 1945, in Seattle, Wash.
She worked as a bookkeeper for different companies until her children were born. She stayed home to raise her children until her daughter was a senior in high school.
She loved being a mom, grandma and great-grandma. She was so excited to hold each of the new little ones. Family was very important to her. She enjoyed baking, sewing, reading and gardening.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and was involved with the Priscilla Circle.
She is survived by husband, Lewis; sister, Marion (Eddy) Kollasch; daughters, Mary (Bob) Brown, Carol (Steve) Adkison; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Johnson; son, Danny; grandson, Danny and great-grandson, James Adkison.
A memorial service will be Saturday, April 14, 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in The Dalles. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Heart of Hospice.
