On Sunday, August 3, 2014 Buck went home to be with the Lord. He passed away unexpectedly at Mid-Columbia Medical Center, he was 69 years old.
Buck is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Caprice Lovewell of The Dalles, two sisters Cora Lesser of Selah and Jane Stinson of The Dalles, two sons and daughters-in-law Lance and Tamara Lovewell of Goldendale, WA and Chad and Billie Lovewell of Pasco, WA as well as 15 grandchildren and a soon-to-be born great-grandson.
Buck had a zest for life! He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was a devoted family man. Other loves included riding his Harley Davidson and his African Gray "Malachi." Buck was a skilled green thumb and enjoyed tinkering in his shop as well as painting. In the sixties, after attending Naches High School, Buck served in the armed forces and was a Vietnam Vet. Later he worked as a foreman at Goldendale Aluminum Plant until their closure.
Buck Lovewell was a man who loved deeply, knew no strangers and will be missed beyond words.
A celebration of his life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church 2819 W. 10th Street The Dalles, Oregon on Saturday August 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
