Delores “Dee” Ann Bidwell, 63, of Albany passed away on Thursday February 26, 2015 at home.
Dee was born in The Dalles, Ore., to Robert Vernon Rolfe and Anna Marie Rolfe (Terry). She was raised in Grass Valley, Ore. She later moved with her family to Dallas, Ore., and then to Albany, Ore., after the death of her mother. Dee married Danny L. Bidwell in 1968, they had 3 daughters Jennifer, Jannene, and Jamie. They were divorced in 1983.
Dee worked as a farmer, real estate salesperson, a driver for Corvallis Disposal, a bakery manager, and was a production worker at Stone Forest Industries and IMI Tiline.
Dee enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, camping and getting together with friends and family. She was an avid reader and movie watcher. She enjoyed making elderberry jam each year with her friend Nadine and sharing her heirloom tomatoes with all. Dee was well known for her Black Magic Cake. She was a hard worker and enjoyed helping family and friends in anyway she could. She was a generous and loyal friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Alberta “Berta” Merritt and June Sylvester.
She is survived by daughters Jennifer Casey of Burns, Ore., Jannene Bidwell of Lewiston, Maine, Jamie Bidwell of Scio, Ore. Sisters: Clara Yvonne Rolfe Schroeder of Albany, Ore., Verna Stanek of The Dalles, Ore., Paulina Rolfe of Brownsville, Ore., Connie Klien and Fern Faria of Lebanon, Ore., Myrna Anderson of Albany, Ore. Brothers, Victor Rolfe of San Juan, Mexico, Leo Roberts of Tigard, Ore. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Tess, Cash, Michael, Logan, Conner and 1 great grandchild Dean. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. As well as dear friends Nadine Carlson of Jefferson, Ore., Joann Fryman of Albany, Ore., Rod Woods of Albany, Ore., and Ilean Lidsey of Lyle, Wash.
There will be a private family celebration of life held at The Pavilion in Grass Valley, Oregon on June 18, 2015 at 4 p.m.
