It is with great sadness that the family of Delores A. Killen announces her passing, early morning January 18, 2017. Dee passed away surrounded by her children at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, Calif.
She was born February 1, 1938, in Ft. Lupton, Colo., to Jose and Rose Avina.
She graduated from Ft. Lupton High School.
She married Richard H. Killen on June 23, 1973, in Fairbanks, Alaksa.
Dee loved her family, spending time outside gardening and talking with friends.
With great love she is reunited with her loving husband, Richard H. (Dick) Killen. Dee will be forever remembered by her children, Zoeann Byerly, Eugene Killen, Matthew Killen, Johnathon Killen; six grand children; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her children; brother Ralph Avina of Aurora, Colo.; and sister Cecilia Ornduff of Elkhart, Ind.
Delores is preceded in death by her husband; brother David Avina; and four sisters, Margaret, Dorothy, Toni, and Rosemarie.
A funeral service in memory of Delores Killen will be held at Saint Peters Catholic Church, 1222 W. 10th St., The Dalles on Wednesday June 21, at 11 a.m.
