Darrell Eugene Craft passed away in The Dalles, Ore. on Oct. 29, 2014.
He was born on December 30, 1932 in Centralia, Wa. to parents Elzie Rollo Craft and Margie May Howell.
Darrell graduated from The Dalles High School in 1953. He served in both the Air Force and the U.S. Army from 1953-1961, during which time he received a National Defense Service Medal. Darrell married Gloris Jean Smith in 1956 and they had two daughters.
Later, he worked as a janitor for the Sherman County School District and married Sylvia Marie Zachary in 1991.
Darrell is survived by his sister Marlene Thorstenson of Longview, Wa.; his brother Dennis Craft, also of Longview; and his daughters, Connie Jean Janzer of Coos Bay, Ore. and Carol Marie Gerlicher of Keizer, Ore.
He is also survived by his grandaughters, Jennifer Michelle Boucher, Albany, Ore.; Kimberly Janine Mangan, Olympia, Wa.; Lindsay Anne Janzer, Coos Bay, Ore.; Kristen Adamson, Keizer, Ore.; Katelyn Gerlicher, Keizer, Ore.; and grandsons Nathan Martin Janzer, Coos Bay, Ore. and Michael John Gerlicher, Keizer, Ore. Many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Lilly The Cat also survive.
Memorial donations can be made to the Heart of Hospice Foundation, located in The Dalles, Ore.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
