Daniel J. Ruvolo, 66, long time resident of The Dalles passed away Thursday October 31st, 2013 at Columbia Basin Care Facility.
Dan spent his early years in The Dalles where he excelled in sports and enjoyed hunting and fishing in the area with his friends and father. He graduated from the University of Portland and received his Masters degree in Business. Dan’s military commitment was spent with the US Marine Corps Reserves and the Oregon Army National Guard.
Dan was a member of American Legion Post #19 and could frequently be found enjoying his coffee at the post in the afternoons.
Dan was preceded in death by his father Joe, mother Sharon, infant brother Anthony and daughter Alicia. He is survived by his children Brendan, and Megan and his sister Jeanne (Steve) Hanson of Wenatchee, WA.
The family would like to express our thanks to the nursing staff at Columbia Basin for Dan’s care throughout his stay.
A graveside memorial service for Daniel will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 12th, at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the charity of your choice.
