Chuck Yadro, 69, of Tygh Valley, Ore., passed away at OHSU surrounded by family and friends on November 12, 2015.
Chuck is survived by his daughters Kari Yadro and Kristie (Raker) Yadro; sister Joyce (Yadro) Murphy and her husband Dennis; nieces Denise Boyle, Michelle Gable, Melissa Murphy; nephew David Murphy; and cousins Jonice Hayes, Bill Cox, Terry Cox, Janie Cardwel and their families. Chuck was a fun- loving father, brother, cousin, uncle and friend.
Chuck worked as a log-scaler for over 30 years in the Columbia River Gorge area and was known for his sense of humor on the job; he served 4 years in the Navy during the Vietnam War specializing in Aviation Mechanics and during his down time he entertained others with card tricks, jokes, and drawing. He loved carpentry and landscaping and built his family’s English Tudor style home in White Salmon, Wash. He was an avid collector of prewar Lionel trains and loved anything to do with planes and Triumph motorcycles and cars. He was proud of his 64 Triumph car which he restored; he was presently working on restoration of a Republic RC-3 Seabee plane. When he wasn’t working on planes, trains, or cars, he spent time working with a close friend on his farm and also enjoyed watching mystery shows, camping, cooking, and helping out friends and family. He was a jokester and was loved by all.

A Memorial Service for Chuck will be at The Salmon Creek Methodist Church on Sunday, November 22, 2015 beginning at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow. The Church is located at 12217 NE Hwy 99, Vancouver, WA 98686.
