Bedelia ‘Dee’ Thomas, 95, a resident of The Dalles, Ore., died Feb. 21, 2015 at a local care facility.
Dee was born February 11, 1920 in Glasgow, Montana the second of five children to William and Mercedes (Hissett) Conatser. She was raised and educated in Glasgow, Montana graduating from Glasgow High School in 1938. On December 16, 1944 she and Robert Thomas were married in Vancouver, Washington. Dee was a member of the First United Methodist Church, The Dalles Country Club, the Library Foundation, and Friends of the Library, Mid-Columbia Democrat Women and Haven for battered women. She enjoyed flowers, especially roses and playing bridge and poker.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Thomas and his wife Lu Ann of The Dalles, Oregon and Bob Thomas and his wife Susie of Elgin, Oregon, sisters Ruby Fitzgerald and Ethel Wall and grandchildren Austin, Derek, Amber and Misty.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015. from 3 to 5 p.m. at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church
Vault entombment will be at the I.O.O.F. Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Library, the Lion’s Club or Heart of Hospice.
