Alvin H. Clark

Alvin H. Clark, 89, lifelong resident of The Dalles, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Mid-Columbia Medical Center. He was born to Harry and Marie (Johnson) Clark. He graduated from The Dalles High School in 1944. He was married to Norma J. McDonald for 68 years. He was a meat cutter at The Economy Market, Kips Foodland and was a partner with Charles Harding at Bonn’s Meat Market for 17 years, until he bought Johnny’s cafe in 1971 from Johnny and Nancy Wantulock. He retired in 1999.

Alvin’s lifetime activities include: bowling, Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, School District 12 Budget Committee, The Dalles Booster Club, Wasco County Pioneers Association, American Red Cross blood donor, Wasco Masonic Lodge #15, Shriners, Meals on Wheels and La Wonick Dance Club. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal church, active in Little league and Babe Ruth baseball. He was an avid sports fan, OSU Beaver fan and world’s greatest dad!!
