Alex Paul Maney, son of Patrick and Jennifer Maney, was born Aug. 2, 2001, in Hood River, Ore.
He spent his 15 years riding four wheelers, rafting the Deschutes and cheering on his brothers when he wasn’t on the ball field himself.
Alex loved his family fiercely and made sure they felt it.
A sophomore at The Dalles High School, Alex was known for his sense of altruism, considering anyone a potential friend and worth cheering up. Family and friends alike will miss him for his wit and willingness to share a laugh, as well as the regular reminders of how much taller he’s gotten than us.
Alex Paul Maney departed this life on Jan. 30, 2017.
We thank him for the love and creativity he brought into this world during his brief, yet beautiful life.
Alex will be forever cherished by his surviving family; his parents Pat and Jennifer Maney; sister Ashley Frazier (Kyle Walters); brothers Aaron and Andy Maney; grandparents Patrick and Cathy Maney, Ruth and Henry Davis; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and his “Big Brother” Lloyd Walworth.

The family welcomes you to join them in celebration of Alex’s life this Saturday, the 11th of February, for a memorial service in The Dalles High School Auditorium at 10:30 a.m., with a potluck to follow at the nearby Zion Lutheran Church.
