‘Wear it Well’ sneak preview and fundraiser Aug. 4

Join local artists and models Aug. 4 at the Columbia Center for the Arts’ newest exhibition, “Wear it Well.” The show features garments, jewelry and accessories meant to be worn or displayed on the human form.

Want a sneak peek and the first chance to try on and purchase the wearable art on display at this month’s “Wear it Well” show at the Columbia Center for the Arts? Then you’ll want to attend the ladies’ night out fundraising event on Aug. 4 beginning at 6 p.m.

The evening will feature live music by Megan Alder, played during a reception with appetizers, chocolates, wine, and champagne cocktails. Guests will then move into the theater for a wearable art fashion show, showcasing the exhibition’s artists and local models. Afterwards, the center will throw open its doors for exclusive previews and shopping, with models, styling consultants, and pop-up dressing rooms. There will also be beauty bars, coaching stations, and braiding bars, in addition to fashion raffle prizes and silent auction experiences and services. Tickets are $30 and available online at columbiaarts.org/events/wear-it-well or at the gallery and is suitable for those 21 years and older.
