This September, The Dalles community will see the return of the Pig Bowl for its 18th year.

The duo garnered two wins apiece against challenging individuals for top-6 finishes at the Chess For Success State Tournament held on March 9-10 in Portland.

The Dalles dominated the recent 2015 Oregon State Police basketball tournament in Newport, taking home the championship trophy after a six-game winning streak. The basketball tournament, a longstanding tradition, features troopers or their immediate family members. Troopers from The Dalles area command won the tournament three years in a row from 2000 to 2002, then won again in 2005.
