The No. 2-ranked Tri-Valley Conference champion The Dalles High Riverhawks extended their win streak to 18 last week after concluding their Class 4A softball regular season schedule unbeaten in league (15-0) and 21-3 overall.

The Dalles tennis players Paul Kelly and Paul Capek rolled to the Special District 4 tennis championships in doubles last week and this week will compete in the OSAA 2023 state championship tournament Friday and Saturday at Oregon State University.

The Dufur High Rangers won their first-ever OSAA Class 4A/3A/2A/1A girls golf Special District 4 championship May 9 at Birch Creek Golf Course in Pendleton.
The win propelled the Rangers to the state tournament on May 15-16 at Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis.

Hood River’s Davis Kerr and Sierra Muenzer earned spots in this week’s Class 5A state golf tournaments with their performances last week in regional play.
Muenzer was the fourth individual qualifier to earn a berth at state based on her play at the Special District 1 regional tournament, May 8, at Stone Creek Golf Course south of Oregon City.

The No. 13-ranked Trico League Champion Columbia High Bruins (13-5) won a District 4 playoff game 5-0 over the Eatonville High Crusers (11-7) on May 11 in Montesano to qualify for the WIAA Class 1A boys soccer 20-team state tournament May 19-27 in Renton, Wash.
It marks the second straight season that Columbia has qualified for the state playoffs.
