LUNAFEST prize
This original Mark Nilsson painting is the one and only raffle prize at LUNAFEST Fundraising Film Festival held March 8-9, 7 p.m. at the Hood River Valley High School Bowe Theater. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Hosted by Soroptimist International of Hood River, admission tickets are available at the door — $20/adults, $15/seniors and students. “This special painting was inspired by the 2023 International Women’s Day theme, ‘Embracing Equity,’” said a Soroptimist press release. Raffle tickets are $5 each, or 5 for $20, and will be sold only at Lunafest. The winner’s name will be drawn at the end of Thursday’s screening. Proceeds from LUNAFEST are used to support Soroptimist’s work, encouraging and empowering local women to improve their families’ lives through education.
