The Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) is responsible for the general areas of Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management, IT, tolling systems, camera technology, secured payment systems, and supervision of tolling and office staff. Specific areas of focus include personnel administration, payroll, benefits; property, casualty insurance as well as workers compensation benefits, property management tasks including billing and collections; budgeting; financial accounting and reporting; audit support; investments; debt management; IT infrastructure design and implementation; construction and grant tracking; fixed asset and records retention management. The CFO directly supervises an Assistant Finance Manager or Senior Accountant, Finance Specialist, several Office Specialists, Customer Service Staff, and up to 13 Bridge personnel. The CFO routinely carries out unique financial planning and financial analysis projects as assigned by the Executive Director.
