The Port of Hood River is a public agency whose mission is to support a strong quality of life and a healthy economy throughout the Columbia River Gorge. The Port promotes job creation and light industrial development, operates the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge, maintains popular waterfront recreation facilities, and manages the Ken Jernstedt Airfield. Activities are carried out with an eight-person office staff and 22 full and part-time employees responsible for operations, facilities maintenance, and tolling operations. The Port is directed by five elected Commissioners. Port employees are expected to demonstrate high standards of integrity, transparency, creativity, and stewardship.
The Port is seeking applicants for the following position:
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER This full-time, exempt position provides leadership in property management, leasing, real estate marketing, construction administration, site planning and economic development. The selected individual must be experienced, enthusiastic, responsible, work independently, interface positively with community leaders, tenants and consultants and take on a variety of assignments in a fast-paced office environment. The position works under the supervision of the Executive Director. Applicants should have significant experience in the following areas: property management, marketing, land planning, design & engineering and real estate development or demonstrate the interest and ability to quickly assume competencies.
Salary Range: $70,113-$95,929 depending on experience. A solid benefit package is offered including comprehensive medical insurance.
